Borivali UTS QR Code – RailOne App Booking Guide

Borivali serves Mumbai’s Western suburban line, with Kandivali immediately south and Dahisar immediately north. It also handles long-distance trains, so passengers should distinguish local-ticket booking from reserved travel. The Borivali UTS QR code is intended for station-based unreserved booking. UTS QR posters at Indian stations are usually near ticket counters or the concourse. At Mumbai suburban stations the QR stickers are pasted near station entrances and ticket counters. Scan the official poster in RailOne, Indian Railways’ official super app. The old standalone UTS app was discontinued on 1 March 2026, with its booking services transferred to RailOne.

How to Book a Ticket Using the QR Code at Borivali Station

  1. Install and sign in: Download the RailOne app on Android or iOS. Log in with your IRCTC username and password, or register with your mobile number (OTP verification). Use the same mobile number to access migrated R-Wallet funds.
  2. Reach Borivali: Be at or near Borivali station and open the RailOne app before boarding. Locate the ticketing area accessible from your entrance.
  3. Find QR booking: On the home screen tap “Unreserved Tickets” (it may appear under the UTS section) and open the QR scan/booking option.
  4. Scan the official poster: Scan the Borivali station qr code using the RailOne app. Confirm that Borivali appears as the originating station before continuing.
  5. Choose your ticket: In the RailOne app, select your destination, such as Andheri or Dahisar, and the available ticket type, class and passenger count. Match the class to your intended service.
  6. Pay and confirm: Pay using an available UPI, netbanking or wallet option. The issued ticket appears inside the RailOne app; screenshots are not accepted as valid tickets during checks.

Practical tip: After booking with the Borivali UTS QR code, check Borivali’s departure indicators for your train’s direction and stopping pattern. A northbound ticket does not mean every departing local serves your destination.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Borivali UTS QR Code

Q. Can I use Borivali’s QR booking from home, and is internet needed?
Use the official station poster at Borivali rather than an image shared online. Internet is needed to complete booking and payment; confirm ticket issuance before boarding.
Q. What if the poster at my Borivali entrance does not scan?
Allow camera access, clean the lens and avoid glare on the poster. If scanning fails, approach Borivali’s booking counter and obtain a valid ticket before travelling.
Q. Can I book a platform ticket to meet someone at Borivali?
Yes. RailOne’s QR booking supports platform tickets — after scanning Borivali’s QR, select “platform ticket” as the ticket type, confirm Borivali as the station, and pay online. The QR-based platform ticket is saved inside the app. Note: a platform ticket does not authorise train travel.
Q. What happened to UTS, my wallet and my Borivali season ticket?
Standalone UTS ended on 1 March 2026; booking now happens in RailOne. R-Wallet funds transfer using the same number. Season tickets and other existing bookings stay linked to your account on that number — verify them inside the app after logging in.
Q. Can I send someone a ticket, and must I carry photo ID?
Show ordinary paperless tickets live in the booking app; screenshots sent to another passenger are invalid. Valid photo ID, such as Aadhaar or Voter ID, is mandatory for RailOne unreserved tickets from 15 July 2026; carry the matching ID.
