Dadar UTS QR Code – RailOne App Booking Guide

Changing between Mumbai’s Central and Western lines is a defining feature of Dadar. Its Central section connects Parel and Matunga, while the Western section sits between Prabhadevi and Matunga Road. Before using the Dadar station UTS QR code, identify which section serves your destination. UTS QR posters at Indian stations are usually near ticket counters or the concourse. At Mumbai suburban stations the QR stickers are pasted near station entrances and ticket counters. Scan the official poster in RailOne, Indian Railways’ official super app. The old standalone UTS app was discontinued on 1 March 2026, with booking services transferred to RailOne.

How to Book a Ticket Using the QR Code at Dadar Station

  1. Download and sign in: Download the RailOne app on Android or iOS. Log in with your IRCTC username and password, or register with your mobile number (OTP verification). Use the same mobile number to access migrated R-Wallet funds.
  2. Reach Dadar: Be at or near Dadar station and open the RailOne app in the appropriate Central or Western section.
  3. Find QR booking: On the home screen tap “Unreserved Tickets” (it may appear under the UTS section) and open the QR scan/booking option.
  4. Scan the official poster: Scan the official Dadar station UTS QR code poster through the RailOne app. Check the originating section displayed.
  5. Choose your ticket: In the RailOne app, select your destination and ticket type, class and passenger count. Thane is on the Central line; Borivali is on the Western line.
  6. Pay and confirm: Pay through an available UPI, netbanking or wallet option. Confirm the issued ticket appears inside the RailOne app. Screenshots are NOT accepted by ticket examiners.

Practical tip: Book before joining Dadar’s interchange footbridge crowd. Follow Central/Western signs and departure indicators, rather than old platform numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Dadar Station UTS QR Code

Q. Can I scan from home, and is internet needed?
Use Dadar’s official poster for station QR booking. Internet is needed for booking and payment before boarding your Central or Western train.
Q. What if Dadar’s poster does not scan?
Check camera permission, clean the lens and avoid glare. If it still fails, approach the booking counter in the relevant Dadar section and obtain a ticket before travelling.
Q. Can I buy a platform ticket to meet someone at Dadar?
Yes. RailOne’s QR booking supports platform tickets — after scanning Dadar’s QR, select “platform ticket” as the ticket type, confirm Dadar as the station, and pay online. The QR-based platform ticket is saved inside the app. Note: a platform ticket does not authorise train travel.
Q. Did my UTS wallet and Dadar season ticket migrate automatically?
Standalone UTS ended on 1 March 2026; booking now happens in RailOne. R-Wallet funds transfer using the same number. Season tickets and other existing bookings stay linked to your account on that number — verify them inside the app after logging in.
Q. Can I send another passenger a ticket, and is photo ID mandatory?
Show ordinary paperless tickets live in the booking app; forwarded screenshots are invalid. Valid photo ID, such as Aadhaar or Voter ID, is mandatory for RailOne unreserved tickets from 15 July 2026; carry the matching ID.
